Mr. dr. M.D.J. van der Wulp MRE

Matthijs studied Dutch Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Tax Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam and Tilburg University. He also completed the Master of Real Estate (MRE) programme at TIAS. In 2021 he was awarded his doctorate for the thesis “Vastgoedtransacties in de Europese btw”. Matthijs has been with (the legal predecessors of) VAT INSTITUTE in Dordrecht since 2005, where he works as head of the Technical Bureau. In addition, he works as a university lecturer at Tilburg University one day a week. Matthijs regularly publishes articles on VAT and transfer tax in various journals and is a regular contributor to the legal tax journals WPNR, FED and BtwBrief.
