Walter van der Giessen
Head of Technology
Walter began his career as a freelance web designer and fullstack developer and then moved into machine learning engineering and entrepreneurship. In 2022 he joined an AI startup for document extraction and processing. Since 2024 he has been Head of Technology at VAT INSTITUTE, where he is responsible for the innovation, the software and the AI applications of the firm: technology that sets the standard in VAT practice, from internal systems to external products.
